Welcome to ELBO. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our service.

ELBO is an online debate platform that allows users to participate in structured real-time discussions. Our service is available to people aged 13 and older.

2. Service Description

ELBO offers:

• Real-time debate rooms with audio/video
• A ranking and leveling system based on experience (XP)
• An accessory shop and avatar customization
• Social features (network, crews, relationships)
• AI-assisted debates

3. User Account

To use certain ELBO features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities conducted under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information

We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account in case of violation of these terms.

4. Code of Conduct

By using ELBO, you agree not to:

• Post illegal, offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory content
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate another person
• Share others' personal information without consent
• Use the service for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Attempt to bypass security or moderation measures
• Use automated software (bots) without authorization
• Cheat or manipulate the ranking system

5. Intellectual Property

All ELBO content (logos, design, code, text) is protected by copyright and belongs to ELBO or its licensors.

You retain your rights to the content you create on the platform, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content as part of the service.

6. Purchases and Virtual Currency

ELBO offers in-app purchases:

• E-Coins: Virtual currency purchasable with real money
• Shop items: Avatar accessories and customizations
• Kickstart: Support bundles with exclusive benefits

Virtual currency purchases are generally non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. For the Kickstart campaign, a full refund is guaranteed if the funding goal is not reached.

7. Limitation of Liability

ELBO is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• That the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The accuracy or completeness of user-generated or AI-generated content
• That the service will meet your specific expectations

To the extent permitted by law, ELBO shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

8. AI Moderation

ELBO uses artificial intelligence systems to moderate content (text, audio, video) in real-time. These systems may:

• Automatically block content deemed inappropriate
• Issue warnings to users
• Temporarily suspend access for repeated violations

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by notification on the platform or by email. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms, without notice or refund.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
